This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

A Tripel not to be missed!

Any beer that comes from Watou, in West Flanders, is worth a try. This beer comes from Watou and is worth a lot more! A pale coloured tripel with a strength of 8% this beer is surprisingly moreish and is very easy to drink. There is a small amount of sediment in each bottle which is OK to drink, it won't even make the beer in your glass go cloudy. The brewery's history only goes back about 90 years, after World War 2 second hand coppers were bought and they brewed St Sixtus beers for the local monastery. This arrangement came to an end in the 1990s and they changed to brewing under the brand name of St. Bernardus. This is a wonderful beer and should be tried by all who appreciate skilful Belgian brewers.
